how to make a toy airplane

i found the body of an old toy airplane rocking chair on the side of the road and knew i had to try and salvage the remains to create something beautiful and usable again. all that was required was:
clean the remains and de-rust all the hinges before getting to work.

Sand down all the pieces and replace any of the rotted out sections of the wood.

sand down any of the splintery ends of the rocking base.

Then get handy with a hand saw! (this one is an 8point)

Cut out a perfect organic rounded edge for the replaced wings out of a nice lookin plank of wood

cut those pesky edges off and sand them down so they are completely soft and rounded.

Nail that sucker on to the bottom of the body ready to be painted. if any nail
comes through the floor, either sand them down or cover them with putty to remove any sharp hazards

Now comes the really fun part. start to decorate the exterior with some kind of kid friendly scene.                          I chose a landscape scene using non gender specific colours to avoid stereotyping.

                                                       AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!

                                                    ............oops, forgot one more step

                                                                        insert child!
